What is a Unit Information Security Lead?
→ The Unit Information Security Lead (UISL) is a term for the Workforce Member(s) assigned responsibility for tactical execution of information security activities in a School or Unit.

What are UISLs?
Unit Information Security Leads (UISLs) are individuals tasked with being the bridge between the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) and Schools/Units. By creating a UISL network tailored to UCLA, we build strong connections across the campus to empower the Bruin Community, encourage collaboration, and support strategic Information Security initiatives.
Our Vision
We aim to integrate the UISL operating model across all UCLA Schools and Units to manage security risks more effectively and enhance the University’s Information Security posture.
